The Nier: Automata DLC is available for $13.99 on Steam and PSN. If you’re one of the lucky players that didn’t sacrifice their save, or just recently got to the Chapter Select option, then you’re still in luck. This is my most favorite character I have yet thank you to whom ever crafted it. Fantastic all have to do is order a side up in the top body suit but everything else was a perfect fit beautiful quality of fabric can wear it outside or in house. Which, honestly, is probably just as intended. Purchased item: 2B Cosplay Nier: Automata YoRHa Costume White / Black Colors. With the added DLC, knowing that I’d have to skate through dozens of hours of game again just to see what it offers feels like a punch in the gut. Our only memories subsist in the screencaps we took on our quest, and nothing more. Taro sculpted Nier: Automata into an impressively finite experience: our time with the game is short, and that’s all the time we get (unless we want to tediously start it all over again from scratch). A game that’s constructed with the idea of you never returning to it again, only to announce in-game DLC for it weeks after its release knowing the result of most players’ experiences with the game. There is a such thing as too much of a good thing.īut maybe this was all part of director Yoko Taro’s master plan. And while one day I’ll likely revisit the game-which as of now is my favorite game of the year-I’m not ready to dive back in yet. If I were to ever see this DLC, I’d have to weather through three playthroughs of the game once more. I, alongside many players I suspect, no longer have that save data that carried me through the game’s twisty-turny journey. I imagine for the majority of players who have seen Nier: Automata through, this caveat will prove itself disappointing. To attain any of the original Nier outfits, like this Kaine one, you have to successfully complete a colosseum. Then, and only then, can you approach their challenging wave-based battles and leave victorious. That Chapter Select is how Nier: Automata’s latest DLC is playable: you find the newly arisen colosseums throughout the world. After your first round beating the third playthrough and getting one of those endings, you unlock a Chapter Select. Like your experience with the game never existed.īefore that fateful ending is Ending C or D (depending on what you do first). To give it up with hardly any qualms, and watch as their progress is eradicated from the game, like it never existed. Not strict story spoilers, but y'know, another spoiler.Īt the end of Ending E in Nier: Automata, the player is propositioned to sacrifice their save data. Check your mail, then head to one of the locations. But for the majority of players who have seen through the game’s many endings, being able to access it will be… difficult. You have to beat the lvl 80 challenges in each of the secret places to get each outfit. You will notice that the eye glistens more blueish and looks more android-like (in a really cool way). Similar to A2, this uses 2Bs face and hair textures from Rein. The DLC brings costumes inspired by the original Nier, new music, equipment, other cosmetic items, colosseum battles, and most importantly, boss fights with the CEOs of Square Enix and PlatinumGames. This one took a bit more work than A2 because of some additions to make her look better (this also means I need to fix A2). It’s a pretty neat way of getting the player to take control of the different characters in the game.īe sure to check back with Twinfinite and our ever-expanding wiki for more tips, tricks, and information on NieR Automata. Is there something you think we should be reporting on? Email Automata’s new DLC “3C3C1D119440927” is out today. Do note that only 9S will be able to enter the Forest arena, as the Gatekeeper Machine only allows entry to those who understands the emotions of machines. The Flooded City arena will give you the Revealing Outfit for 2B, the Desert arena gives you the Replicant outfit for A2, and the Forest arena rewards you with the new outfit for 9S. The game will hand over the reward after the first battle because even the devs think those challenges are hard. Well, with the exception of the Forest arena. Every colosseum in the game has a final level 90 battle, and completing each one will give you a new outfit. The battles get tougher as you progress through the ranks, with the final one having a recommended level of 80. After buying your way into the arena at the Flooded City, you’ll need to complete all of the ranked battles to earn your rewards. However, obtaining all three of them is no easy feat. Along with the colosseums, the NieR Automata DLC pack also comes with three new outfits for each of the main characters in the game.
